Day 137 & 138 “Blog Troubles”

April28th 379Well, I finally figured out what I needed to do to create a “New Post”.  WordPress is changing some things up and it took me awhile to figure it all out.  I arrived in Cape Cod this afternoon and I will be going to my first Cape Cod baseball game tonight. I am excited to see one, since this league was the first college summer league of any significance and the first to use wood bats.  Also, the Cape Cod League was the setting for the 2001 Hollywood film “Summer Catch” starring Freddie Prinze.

I have to say that it probably wasn’t a good idea to come over the Fourth of July weekend since the traffic has been insane! I expected there to be some traffic issues but there are traffic issues everywhere you turn.  I am remaining calm, foregoing road rage for the most part. There has been a few moments, we will see if my demeanor can continue being this calm.  I don’t know what has been up with me lately, I thought my writers block was gone, however it is seems to be back.  I have lots of times to think about certain subjects when I am driving. I get excited to get to a Starbucks to sit and write, but then it seems that my mind goes blank when I get there.

I will continue to write my way out of this; but, I hope this pattern doesn’t continue!  A few comments, I have been working on a “Grounds Crew’ post which, for whatever reason, I am struggling quite a bit. I will put it aside for a few days and see what happens.  Also, whomever told me Canada was just like the USA, you are totally wrong!  It was a lot different and at times I was confused. Besides everything being in metric, I was surprised not to see billboards (same thing my Mom noticed when she was there).  I needed to get that one off my chest.  I don’t know if a lot of you follow my Twitter feed but we added another feature, Ballpark Banter.  We will tweet definitions of things only heard at ball games or things as they relate to ball games, i.e. Punch Out: When a pitcher strikes out a batter. So we have our daily quotes, trivia and now banter.  I also make sure that things are posted to the Facebook page so don’t worry if you haven’t signed up for Twitter yet. (Roger handles all this this content, so thank you Roger!)

Since it is now after 3 p.m. Eastern time and I need to find my way to the baseball field (it is only a mile and a half away), and probably will take me an hour to get to. So, I am going to cut this short.  I hope everyone has a great 4th of July weekend!  I am grateful that I had this blog issue and writers block now since a lot of you won’t read my blog until Monday!
